Scope
By enabling SMS account notifications, you agree to receive automated text messages from 247MailRoom about your mailbox and account: mail and package arrivals, shipment updates, billing notices, and account-security alerts. Phone verification codes are sent only when you request them and are separate from these notifications.
Opt-in methods
SMS is off by default. Customers opt in themselves; store staff cannot opt a customer in.
- Fulfillment signup checkbox. When a business signs up for fulfillment at a participating store (for example this live signup page), the form shows an optional, unchecked “SMS account notifications” checkbox under the phone field, with the disclosure above and the exact number it applies to. The box cannot be checked until a valid phone number is entered, and editing the number clears it.
- Account notification preferences. After signing in, a customer turns on SMS account notifications and checks an unchecked acknowledgement showing the disclosure above and the phone number it applies to.
- Mailbox signup checkbox. At stores that offer mailbox service, the signup form includes the same optional, unchecked checkbox under the phone field.
- Reply START. Re-subscribes a number that previously opted in and then replied STOP. START never enrolls a number that has not opted in.
Phone verification codes
One-time codes for phone verification are sent only when you request them in account settings. They are separate from marketing or recurring account notifications.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase.
